o Aphrodite!

O Aphrodite! is our upcoming new musical.

O Aphrodite! is a new feminist pop musical reimagining the love lives of mortals and gods alike. Blending myth and modernity, it intertwines the power struggles of the Greek pantheon with the joys and horrors of 21st-century dating culture. Think Hadestown meets Why Am I So Single?

When two flatmates, Donna and Edie, call on the goddess of love for help navigating the mess of 21st-century dating culture, they set off a chain of transformations, temptations, and divine drama. Through their friendship and solidarity, Donna’s tempestuous romance with Aphrodite, and Edie and Gail’s struggle to open up to one another, the musical explores love as an act of resistance within a patriarchal world.

Blending heartfelt pop and mythic spectacle, O Aphrodite! asks: what if we stopped worshipping the old gods, and started worshipping each other instead?

Material for O Aphrodite! is currently being developed for workshop performances in 2026, with Fringe festival performances in the works.

Three songs from O Aphrodite! were premiered at Aardvarks Can’t Jump Productions’ Showtime! The show was curated by Olivier-winning composer Darren Clark and featured work from emerging new musical composers and lyricists. Stone Walls was sung by Olivier-award winning actress Rebecca Trehearn.
