Deadname
or the modern frankenstein
The show that started it all! What makes a man? Victor Frankenstein thought he knew, but when he’s confronted by a glamorous, queer vision of his Creature, he starts to doubt he ever was one.
Written and directed by associate artist Erik Booth, he starred alongside producer Adam Dorey in this debut one-act comedy-drama, which was performed at The Dark Horse, Birmingham. Deadname queered Mary Shelley's feminist horror as Victor and his Creature dissect trans-ness, clashing societal expectations and the parts of ourselves we run from.
